Place of departure of this about 13 km long tour is called BARBIAN (836m), also as the "village with the askew tower". The municipal area of this delightfully situated resort ranges from the bottom of the Eisack to the Rittner Horn (2260m), to one of the nicest vantage points of South Tirol, with direct look on the Schlern, the best known mountain of South Tirol. We leave Barbian in the direction of the south and drive on the old Kaiserstraße. We enjoy on this distance the miraculous view of the Eisacktal and the opposite valley as well as the Barbian waterfall. Furthermore we pass LENGMOOS (1164m), an order establishment of the German order of knights, and to our purpose KLOBENSTEIN (1156m).
